Her journey began in 1993 when she gained admission to St. Teresa’s College of Education in Hohoe, where she earned her Post- Secondary Teacher Certificate A in 1996.
After four years of teaching, Selorm furthered her education at the University of Education, Winneba, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Social Sciences with a focus on Social Studies. Over the next eight years, she taught children with great enthusiasm, fostering a love for learning and a strong foundation during their formative years. Beyond academics, she emphasizes life skills, preparing students not just for exams, but for the opportunities and challenges they will face in the future. This focus makes her an excellent counselor. Her dedication to shaping young lives earned her recognition from JILCE International University Seminary, which awarded her a doctorate degree in acknowledgment of her exemplary work.
Selorm Akuyo Amable remains committed to the development of children. Her philosophy reflects her dedication: “It is a call to duty, and I am not blinking on the job, nor am I fretting for once. A Charge to Keep I Have.” With this unwavering commitment, Selorm continues to inspire both her students and fellow educators, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touches.
